How does the CILS/CELI/PILDA preparation course work?
I primarily teach my classes online and enjoy doing so. If you don’t live in Italy, I believe this is the most efficient way to learn and practice Italian. But I also live in the magical city of Rome and get to experience its many facets on a daily basis. So I decided to combine my expertise in the language teaching landscape with my insider knowledge of Rome and offer motivated Italian learners the opportunity to unleash Italian superpower in a real-life situation.
You’ll walk around beautiful off-the-beaten-path central areas and chat in Italian with the help of a qualified language teacher.
The course
We are experts on training students who need to get Italian language certifications for Citizenship, work, or study. We like giving our students the tools to successfully pass a language test and avoid the overwhelm of not knowing where to start.
We take pleasure in “Italianizing” students who are absolute beginners who are diving into a foreign language for the first time or those who have a smattering of the Language fundamentals and need to seal various gaps in their preparations.<
Whatever your level or reason for taking a language exam, we will make sure you sit for the exam with solid preparations and the right mindset.
During your assessment, Serena will meet you and carefully assess your level, evaluating your competence in all the four language areas required by the Italian exams: listening, speaking, writing, and reading.
She will individualize the areas you need to work and draw a custom exam preparations course for the CILS/CELI or PLIDA exams .

Why should I take an Italian language Certification?
Learning a language as an adult, in informal settings has some drawbacks too. Many students plateau at an intermediate level because they miss the guidance to perfect their writing or vocabulary, as is not needed. Committing to pass an Italian language exam, entails focusing on perfecting those areas that you might often neglect on a general Italian language course: like writing or listening.
Rest assure that perfecting those areas means that you will be a fantastic Italian speaker.
How long will it take to prepare for an Italian certification?
Everything comes down to your start and final point.
Before anything, find clarity about what type and level of Italian and what is your current level of Italian.
Once you know where you are and where you want to go, we can think in realistic terms of a timeframe.

Your teacher will be your reliable guide. We don’t work for someone else, and we do this because out of love for our profession. Teaching Italian is our full-time job, and we are enticed by our students’ success and motivated by transforming the lives of our students through Italian learning.

How I know, I am eligible for your courses?
When believe that when the student is ready the teacher will appear. (And, when the student is truly ready… the teacher will disappear). Magic happens when a student is ready. However, before joining our school, we will ask you to fill a form and tell us about your relationship with Italian so far, your age and your level of education. Knowing you is essential to help you reach your learning goal.
Tell me more about the way you guys teach
The lessons happen on Zoom. You will be assigned a personal Google Folder and your HW and notes will appear on separate Google Docs. Depending on the number of lessons you plan, We will provide you with self-study lesson plan.
